Biography
“I love caring for patients. I feel fortunate that I really like what I do. I especially enjoy helping people improve their experience with contact lens wear. Whether someone wears disposable soft contact lenses, or needs a complicated rigid contact lens fit; I relish finding some way to improve a patient’s vision and/or comfort with their lenses.”
Dr. Kaufman did her undergraduate studies at University of Colorado, Boulder. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry. In 1995, Dr. Kaufman completed her residency in Cornea and Specialty Contact Lenses at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
She has been in practice on the Eastside since 1995. Dr. Kaufman joined Factoria Eye Clinic in 2005. She enjoys providing comprehensive annual eye examinations, medical office visits, and contact lens care. Her areas of specialty include multifocal (bifocal) contact lenses, contact lenses for high astigmatism, prosthetic contact lenses, contact lenses for irregular corneas such as keratoconus, post-R.K., and post-LASIK.
Dr. Kaufman regularly provides consultation to local doctors regarding patients requiring challenging contact lens fitting.
